The Ag Science classes inspected water quality last week in Tammy Gerstenecker's

classroom. All 17 students determined if the water samples were livable by looking at certain

levels in the water.

Using different samples from local lakes, ponds, and fish tanks, they measured the PH,

ammonia, nitrates, and dissolved oxygen levels.

According to Gerstenecker, the water lab shows students the right environment for fish

and is used to manage a pond so it doesn’t overgrow itself.
