This season Carlyle High School football team is engaging in several team building
activities.
Head Coach Nick Wolf explained many of the different activities they use for team
bonding.
“Lifting in the weight room year round is a huge part of our team building philosophy,”
Wolf said.
Team building starts during the summer with their competition Thursdays. Some weeks
players compete against each other as individuals, and other weeks they compete in small
groups.
During the season, the team also eats meals together on Thursday evenings.
“We take the opportunity to sit with each other and break bread before we compete,”
Wolf said.
The coaching staff also said the new turf adds excitement to the gameday atmosphere and
helps the team have a better surface for practice when the conditions are not ideal.
Assistant coach Jaris Dalman said that one of the biggest wins for the team this year has
been off the field since the team GPA is .3 higher than last year.
Dalman also said that another win off the field has been hearing good feedback in the
community.
