Seniors selected Tessa Hoffmann to be the 2026 Daughters of the American Revolution

Good Citizen and Ethan Brinkmann to be the 2026 Sons of the American Revolution Good

Citizen.

Teachers nominated several seniors who possess the qualities of dependability, service,

leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. Their classmates then voted

to select the recipients of the awards.

“I am honored that my teachers and classmates can see the dedication I put into

school,”Hoffmann said, “I am very grateful that I am seen as someone deserving of this award.”

According to the national DAR website, chosen students are invited to participate in the

scholarship portion of the program. They can submit a personal statement and an essay if they

wish to participate in the scholarship portion of the program.

“This achievement will benefit them academically because they can add this award to

their college applications and scholarship applications,” school counselor Tammy Branon said.

Hoffmann and Brinkmann will both receive award certificates and be recognized at

Honor’s Night in May for their achievements.
