Carlyle High School art club raised money through a Pizza Hut fundraiser last Tuesday.

According to Emily Kaupang, the CHS art teacher and art club advisor, they were

prompted to do this fundraiser through Carlyle Pizza Hut because it is a great way for schools

and local business owners to support one another.

The club earned 20% of the profit from each pizza sold when purchasers provided the

school’s code.

“We have participated in this fundraiser for the last two years,” art club president Mary

Ann Brown said.

The amount of money raised has not been determined yet, but it will be used to help pay

for the end-of-year trip.

This year, the art club will take a day trip to Chicago and visit the Art Institute of

Chicago and see the Cloud Gate.

The CHS art club also painted windows of local businesses during homecoming week.

For each school spirit themed design, businesses made a $25 donation to the club.
