Senior Alannah Sarclette, junior Mabry Smith, and sophomore Samantha Vohlken were
named Room Champions at the FFA Section 21 Ag Sales Career Development Event on Oct. 14,
which was held at Carlyle High School.
Senior Audrey Rahm was also named the Reserve Champion Room Individual.
The team now advances to the FFA District 5 contest, which will be held at Rend Lake
College on Oct. 21.
In the Ag Sales CDE, FFA members practice and demonstrate skills in sales and
customer service related to the agriculture industry.
There were two alternate members for the team, Skylar Pritchett and Avery Self. All team
members were required to attend practices and prepare for the contest.
“For Ag Sales, we do team sales and individual sales while learning about the product,”
Pritchett said.
Each year, the teams are asked to simulate the sales of a new product. This year, the team
is selling Rimol greenhouses.
