The CHS Art Club raised $175 by decorating windows all over Carlyle from Oct. 12
through Oct 14 for Carlyle’s homecoming.
The window decorating helped create interactions between the art club members and the
business owners and helped show pride in the school and in the community as a whole,
according to Art Club adviser Emily Kaupang.
Club members decorated seven buildings in total, and each building’s windows averaged
45 minutes to an hour to finish.
Mary Ann Brown, Mary Kathryn Borughton, and Absinthe Chamberlin painted the
windows of Dairy Queen and State Farm on Sunday.
Collin Mullet, Akyra Morgan, Adlee Hahs, and Kaelyn Cox painted the windows of
Revive Hair Salon and IGA on Monday.
Taniyah Braggs, Ava Roberts, Rae Prater, and Kaylee Holder painted the windows of
City Hall, Zieren Funeral Home, and St. Mary's Parish Center on Tuesday.
All funds collected will be used for art club expenses.
