The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FASFA, opened up for high school seniors

and college students on Oct. 1.

The FAFSA is a financial aid portal for all students planning to go to college or trade

school. Completion of the application is an Illinois requirement to graduate high school.

Carlyle High School guidance counselor Tammy Branon plans to hold a FAFSA

completion night on Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. in the student services office.

Kaskaskia College representatives will also be present during the completion night to

help answer any questions.

Those who plan to attend should RSVP before Oct. 29 by contacting the high school

office or by emailing Branon.
