The Carlyle High School Math team held sign-ups last week in math teacher Adrienne
Wilson’s room.
The Math team plans to compete against other schools in an Illinois Council of Teachers
of Mathematics contest.
This is one of the two different competitions they attend as a team every year, and Wilson
suggests that students be in a math class when they sign up.
“Last year, as a team, we did not win any competitions, but Logan Dall and Spencer
Fruend made it to ICTM state,” Wilson said.
Last year, there were 20 students on the Math team, and this year, Wilson is hoping that
more students will join.
