Carlyle High School’s FBLA Plans to host a daddy- daughter dance on Feb. 6 in the
cafeteria at Carlyle High School to help fundraise for Carlyle Grade School’s new inclusive
playground.
“We are really trying to focus on the inclusivity side of things,” said FBLA Treasurer and
chairperson of the Events and Activities Committee Aleah Murden.
Any girl from birth to grade five can attend with their dad or any special male role model
in their life. The theme for the dance is “Ties, Tiaras, and Togetherness”.
There will be many different activities going on during the dance. Some planned activities include
crafts, photo booths, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and dance competitions.
FBLA will be selling multiple shirt designs to promote the dance during the months
of December and January.
“We are working on making posters and even a logo to send out on our FBLA website to
sell tickets, as well as posting on our social media to advertise,” said FBLA Reporter and
Chairperson of the Publicity and Invitations Committee Olivia Abraham.
Tickets are $30 per couple and an additional $10 per girl. Tickets will go on sale in
December.
