Students in Stacie Steinkamp's speech class gave two to three minute informative
speeches during the first week of February.
An informative speech is a speech without research that provides the audience with
information, and its purpose is to inform the audience about a topic.
For this assignment, the students selected a topic that interested them and that they had
prior knowledge of.
“The topic of my speech is ducks, so I’m informing the students about the types of ducks
in our area and how to hunt them,” said senior Grant Huels.
Other students' topics include the basic news article format, Pizza Hut job titles, and
wheels.
The speeches covered four to five main points and were worth 25 points.
