Students in the astronomy class worked together to create a constellation light box after

studying about stars and constellations.

For the box project, students chose between a cardboard box, canvas, or cut wood.

“Being able to use my artistic skills on my box was my favorite part about the project,”

Kyleigh Tegankamp said.

After choosing the box material, they then cut out templates of constellations and chose a

light source for the inside of the box.

Many of the students chose to do LED lights in their boxes; others used stationary globes

or flashlights.

After completion, each team presented their light box projects to the class. The dark room

allowed constellations to be projected and viewed.
