The high school baseball team recently hosted a successful fundraiser to support

improvements for the upcoming season.

Players worked together to sell discount cards to community members, raising both

money and awareness for the program, where they started off with door-to-door sales.

Head coach Jaris Dalman explained the purpose behind the fundraiser.

“The main purpose of this fundraiser is to get enough funds so we can get a new pitching

machine, new nets, and more baseball equipment,” Dalman said.

The fundraiser centered around selling discount cards that offered a variety of deals at

local businesses.

Each card was sold for $20, making it an affordable option for many community

members while still helping the team reach its goal.

“You can use the card one time per day for an entire year, and the best discounts on the

card are a play with four, pay for three at Governors Run Golf Course, a free donut at Oh So

Sweet, and $1 off at Dairy King,” Dalman said.

The team’s efforts paid off, as they raised a total of $5,400 through the fundraiser. This

amount will go directly toward improving equipment and supporting the team throughout the

season.

According to Dalman, this year’s fundraiser was even more successful than those in the

past, showing strong community support and teamwork from the players.
