For the last two weeks, Mrs. Nave’s 3rd graders have been composting. Today we examined a sample to see how things are breaking down.




Today is “O” day in kindergarten for our ABC countdown. Students dressed as their future occupation.

Meet the newest member of the 3rd Grade Tribe! This little one greeted us as we came in this morning. Hopefully some more of his friends will arrive later today. #hatchingday

First-grade is celebrating the ABC countdown with frisbees!



Second grade watching Mr. Bob Tarter talk about animals during our virtual earth day activities this week. They always love to listen Mr. Tarter!!



Mrs. Nave's 3rd graders started a science unit this week about soil and composting. They've already read a couple of books and received their very own "dirt babies" (pictured below). Thanks to Mrs. Brinkmann and a project grant from the Farm Bureau, the class is going to be using their very own composter to create some nutrient rich soil. The class hopes to be able to plant something in the soil that is created.
