We just received the following message from Patoka Administration. Our parking lot is a solid sheet of ice; we are salting it now. A decision on the game will be made by 1:00 pm today.

Carlyle Indians Track & Field will be having an informational meeting for any 5th-12th grade students interested in joining the High School or Jr. High Track & Field teams on Monday February 28th at 6:30 PM in the CHS cafeteria. The first practice will be held Tuesday March 1st after school.

Regional championship tickets for the Patoka regional will be on sale in the high school office from 9 am - 1 pm on Thursday February 24th and from 8 am to 2 pm on Friday February 25th. We were given 280 tickets; all tickets are general admission and the cost of each ticket is $5.00. Carlyle will play Effingham St. Anthony on Friday, February 25th at 7 pm.

Due to potential weather overnight and the forecast of icing during school hours tomorrow, Thurs. Feb. 24th will be an E-Learning Day. Students at the Grade School were sent home with work today, Jr. High and High School students should check their Google Classrooms for their assignments. Teacher will be available from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for questions and additional support.


As a precautionary measure, 8th grade registration night at Carlyle High School, scheduled for this evening is cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will be playing the games at Bunker Hill High School. The school is
located at 314 South Meissner, Bunker Hill, IL 62014.
Admission: $7.00 for all spectators. Per IHSA Board Policy 22, IHSA is exclusively using GOFAN for ticketing at the Sectional level and beyond. Please let your fans know that Verizon reception is very poor in Bunker Hill. I recommend having them download their tickets before they get into town. It will be General Admission with doors opening 60 minutes before the game that the fan has purchased a ticket for. At the end of the first game, we will make the announcement for all fans who only have a ticket for game 1 to please leave the gym. The doors in the front of the school (east side) and the doors on the north side of the school will be open for admission. The gym doors will not be used.
Masks: Bunker Hill School District is currently operating as, “masks strongly recommended.” We will have masks available for anyone that would like them, but we will not require them.
Fans: While we will not use assigned seating, the north side bleachers will be designated for the away team , and the south side bleachers will be designated for the home team.
Programs: Programs done by Royal Publishing will be available for purchase for $2.

A parade through town for our State Champion Tyson Waughtel will start at the high school at NOON and take the normal route through town. Let's line the streets and show this young man how proud our community is of him.
Parade Route:
Start at high school, head south on 127 to Fairfax. Head east on Fairfax to 8th street. Turn right on 8th to Rt 50. Head west on Rt 50 to 4 way stop. Then head back north on 127 to high school.

Carlyle High School Students that are interested in going to the girls basketball sectional game on Tuesday, February 22nd at Bunker Hill may sign up for the fan bus today at the boys basketball regional quarterfinal game or in the high school office before 10:00 am on Tuesday. The cost to ride the fan bus is $3.00. In addition each student will need to purchase a $7.00 game ticket through the GOFAN app (Please do not purchase your game ticket until we have enough students signed up to guarantee that we will have a fan bus). We must have 20 students signed up by 10:00 am on Tuesday in order to take a fan bus.

The IHSA Class 1A regional championship game and the 3-point shooting contest at Carlyle HS have been postponed for today. The makeup date is Friday, February 18th. The 3-point shooting contest will begin at 5:30 PM, and the championship game will begin at 7 pm.
