On Thursday, May 1st the Carlyle FFA Agriculture Mechanics Team competed at the State Ag Mech CDE hosted at Illinois Central College in East Peoria. Students completed a written test, parts/tool identification, and a hands-on practicum in the areas of Surveying, Ag Power (Engines), Electrical, Welding, and Construction. There were 46 schools, 20 teams, and 137 individuals that competed. Out of those 20 teams Carlyle FFA placed 8th overall!
Individually those students competing on the team placed as follows in their respective areas:
Hunter Rich- 16th, Surveying
Landon Johnson- 14th, Ag Power
Hunter Taylor- 25th, Electrical
Brody Diekemper- 1st, Welding
Tanner Speiser- 7th, Construction
Congratulations to the team on their overall 8th place finish, and to Brody on placing 1st in Welding! He will be recognized at State Convention in June for his achievement.

Last Friday, our Life Skills students had an amazing time at the 25th Adapted Olympics at Greenville University! 🎉🏅
The event was full of smiles, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. Great job everyone!
